Financial Aid

Hey y’all! I just want some opinions on my issue. I forgot to send my parent’s 1040 schedules on IDOC. One of my college’s priority deadline was 12/01. I only realized today and submitted it. Will this impact my aid a lot (if i get accepted)?? I didn’t realize I had to submit schedules because it gave me the alert that everything needed was submitted. Thank you!

If you already logged in to the CSS Profile and into your college dashboard and see that various 1040 schedules are missing, then work with your parents ASAP to upload those files using IDOC today. I would then email each of the colleges that were requesting these schedules and alert them that you thought you had completed the document upload but were mistaken.

It's very well possible that without these schedules, they can not complete a full review of your financial aid package. Therefore it's better to work on fixing the problem ASAP and worrying about it. If you are accepted you may not receive financial aid from that college in your college decision until they can determine what the award should be. I would not assume that without the required documents you would be getting some dollar amount reduction. So if you were expecting $40,000, they are not going to give you $35,000. It's most likely going to be a blank until you allow them to do their jobs give you the official financial aid package.

Good luck.
