Admissions Advice

Do dual enrollment classes make me stand out?
Answered

(I'm currently a junior who has no idea what kind of career field of college to go to.)

My school doesn't offer any sort of AP/IB/Honors classes. I decided to do dual enrollment classes at a local community college. Will admissions take this as something on the same level as APs? Or is it even better than APs? My counselor at school never has answers to any of my questions or gives good advice so I hope someone on here can answer this for me. Thank you in advance!!!

Here is the list of courses I have taken:

Freshman

- Chinese 1 (4 credits)

- Chinese 2 (4 credits)

- Badminton (1 credit)

Junior (This is just what I did fall semester. I plan to take more in the spring.)

- English 1A (4 credits)

- Trigonometry (3 credits)

- Art History 102B (3 credits)

- Statistics (5 credits)

Yeah they do, especially if your school doesnt offer APs. Colleges look at if you take advantage of the opportunities offered to you, so if you don't have APs and go out of your way to take these classes, that's an added bonus!
