Should I put the ones I'm doing now or the ones I've done in my four years in high school?
You can put more than just what you are doing now, but be careful not to put too many since that can affect the way your best extracurricular activities stand out. Most students accepted to elite school put 8-10 activities on the Common App. If you need to narrow it down, leadership positions, work experience, and sports are the ones that stand out the most. I think it's okay to add in some activities from your other years of high school, but I would say to choose which ones stand out the most.
Good luck! :)
Great question. Although it may seem like a good idea to put all of the extracurricular activities you have done over your lifetime, adding so many activities can take the spotlight off of your greatest assets. Stick to ones you have done in the past and ones you are doing now that stand out, such as sports, which show teamwork and grit. I hope this helped!
All four years of high school, but don’t just include anything/everything- Including leadership roles, and any like.. important extracurriculars is best
Both. In fact, you can put anything there that you've ever been interested in or want to do in college. THe more the married, and stretch as much as you want. I'm currently 13 and racking up plenty.
Put the ones that you have the been the most committed to and the ones you are most proud of. Colleges like to see these as they best give an idea of who you are, what you value, and how you might contribute to their campus when you go there.
I have put down any and all activities (sports, clubs, etc) that I have participated in during my 4 years of HS.

Do not put too many. It is all about quality, not quantity.
