How can I increase chances of getting into a prestigious university?

I am the graduating class of 2025 and I would really like to get into Caltech. I have really good grades, but I know Caltech is extremely competitive, and you have to stand out. I was was wondering what type of extracurricular activities that I need to participate in to be noticed by them.

Hello, I'm the graduating class of 2024 and I suggest that you take the time to find an extracurrilar you enjoy and give yourself a strong standing in it. For example, if you're in NHS or NJHS, try and become the president, vice-president, or any similar positions in your chapter. Keep in mind it's not how many or what you do, but how well you do it. When deciding on what extracurriculars to put your time into, try and find something that is related to your major or even start your own club!
