Vanderbilt Class of 2026 Acceptance Rates will be lower this Cycle

Vanderbilt Class of 2026 Acceptance Rates will be lower this Cycle

So far what we know is that the TOTAL Early Acceptance rate at Vandy is 17.6% versus 18.1% from last year.

This years ED1 rate was 24.1% and the ED2 rate was 10.3%

2700 applied in ED1 and 2407 applied in ED2.

900 students were admitted which is 17.6%. This accounts for 50% of the incoming class of 2026.

Best guess is that 45000 are in the RD pool. If Vandy has a 40% yield target, they need to admit 2250 students to yield 900 RD matriculants. So that's about 5% for RD accetpance rate. Since the RD rate last year was 5.3%, I expect the RD rate to be around 5% or less this cycle dropping the overall admit rate to about 6.3-6.4% from 6.7%.
