Jobs, internships or volunteer opportunities involving writing?

I am a rising sophomore and I would like to round out my extracurriculars. I have been researching internships and volunteering and would like to do something related to writing. Preferably creative writing or journalism but I'm not picky. I live in the greater houston area. Are there any organizations that offer something like that? Is there anywhere you would recommend looking?

I am not sure about organizations or internships, however, I think if you enjoy writing. Any short stories, poetry, musings... you should compose in a book and publish. Get your voice out there. Write a children's book, a little book of important messages, a memoir or poetry..anything especially in this pandemic era it may be difficult to find organizations.
