Hi.
I’m a rising junior and I want to major in CS. We have a CS club that I teach coding to students in (we teach to girls who code club too) but I can’t think of any other CS ECs. I can’t find any internships and I’ve contacted every professor or college around my for an internship or research. Can anyone help me?
I would recommend doing a deep google search. There are many online opportunities and summer programs just for coding. You could also check out Google's coding competitions. They will be a great addition to your extra circular. Hope this helps!
I would recommend join Linkedin (a social media platform), there are many professionals over there from various industries. Just search STEM people over there and shoot messages to people and hopefully they'll respond back.
There are plenty of opportunities to add more CS related extracurriculars.
My recommendation would be to work at a coding camp for children, or some type of environment where you are teaching others to code. This can earn you some money, give you experience, and also be a great addition to your resume.
Good luck!
