I have so far taken the SAT four times and it's draining. My super score is 1360. 690 in math and 670 in English. I really don't have the time to take another and the process is so tiring. If my GPA is a 3.94 unweighted and a 4.17 weighted, should I worry about taking the SAT again, if I'm applying to colleges like Boston College, Boston University, and New York University?
Since many colleges have continued their test-optional policies, the only people submitting test scores will be those who are in the 1450-1600 range. If not required otherwise, forget the SAT and apply test-optional.
Besides, you've given too many attempts and if it's not improving, there's no point in retaking.
Hi @egrace,
I agree that taking the SAT 4 times is draining and exhausting. I think it's best to stop.
I would not submit a 1360 to NYU, BC, and BU because their average SATs are at least 100 points higher. Hopefully, your grades, course rigor, ECs, essays and recommendations will advocate enough for you without submitting test scores.
I don't think you should worry about applying to colleges because I think applicants end up for the most part where they belong. It's not a fair or perfect system but if you apply to enough schools I think you will get accepted to a some that you will be thrilled and happy to attend.
Good luck.
I wouldn't worry about having a high SAT score, applying test optional is always an option - and if your extracurriculars are strong, then you shouldn't have to worry about it. Your score is amazing regardless :)
