Does having 16 credits as a sophomore good?
Answered

At my school to become a junior you have to have 13 credits, but I have 16. Is that good?

It will look great in fact! Colleges want to see that you are going above and beyond in your academic environment. This means that you should take the most challenging classes on offer, seek extra credit opportunities, and, as you have done, earn more credits than just the bare minimum. Hope this helps!

That sounds like you'll become a junior! The more credits, the better. Depending on how your school credit system works, if your 16 credits carry on into senior year, then you'll be more prepared and have an extra three credits.

For example, if you need say, 20 credits to become a senior, then you'll have an extra three earned before senior year, making it easier for you to earn your senior year.

Or, if the credit count resets after every year, then the extra three credits you earned in sophomore year won't harm or help you.

Overall, having an extra three credits above the minimum is great! It safely puts you over the minimum.

Hope this helps!!
