Is 1490 good enough?
Answered

I am planning on applying to schools like U Michigan, Georgia Tech, Purdue, and UIUC for computer science. Currently, I have a 1490 SAT, M: 790, R: 700. If the schools offer test-optional should I apply for test-optional?

I think 1490 should be excellent, it's a very high test score. Don't think it will hurt your admissions chances, so I'd submit it. Good luck!

Your score is above Purdue's 75th percentile and is also above average at UMich, so I think you should submit them. Also, I'm pretty sure the GT requires the SAT.

Your score also falls into the middle 50th % for UIUC Engineering, so I think you should submit it.
