Military academies

Have any of you actually attended a service academy or completed any ROTC? If so, did you enjoy it and would you recommend it? I have a military-based background as I am in JROTC and a member of the USAF Auxiliary. However, I know that the academies and ROTC experiences are different from those offered in high school.
