I am a 10th grader in International school in Korea. I don't have any extracurricular activities yet. If there are Koreans reading this (or Americans), can you recommend me some activities that I can participate IN Korea?
It's great that you're starting to think about how to add in some activities. You don't want to pick random extracurriculars just for the sake of having extracurriculars. You should ask yourself the following questions:
1. What am I interested in outside of school? (these could be things like movies, writing, sports, volunteering, animals, being a leader, etc...)
2. What am I interested in academically? (your favorite subjects, what you think you might want to study in college, etc...)
Then you can narrow down extracurricular options based on what your interests are and what your school and community has to offer. Even if your school doesn't offer an activity, that's an amazing opportunity for you to start your own club or initiative, which colleges love to see! You'll want to pick activities that align well with your interests, because then you're more likely to stick with them, grow, and make a large impact!
Maybe you could start your own club to show something you are passionate about! If not, volunteering organizations and even work experience all look great for college applications, and the activities are worthwhile and jobs can help you save up money for college.
Does your school have a newspaper? I am an editor on mine and so far admissions officers have loved that.
depending on whether you want to go to college in korea or not look at ECs pertaining to intended major such as mock trial if you want law school or for nursing volunteer at a retirement home
