Personal Essay
Answered

Hello, I just submitted my application to Fordham, Northeastern, and Vassar College. After submitting I noticed there was a mistake in my essay.

In the last paragraph, I had one "I" as capitalized, and only one other one in the paragraph written in lowercase as "i". Will that be a problem considering how prestigious these universities are? Or is one small mistake like this okay?

This one mistake will not harm your chances at all! Colleges care most of all about the content of your essay, and they will reject a stellar applicant over a small typo. In any case, admissions officers will probably not see the mistake because they have to read essays quickly. Hope this helps!

Usually big universities like tunnel rush they won't accept such basic typos. But if you're lucky, the admissions department won't notice the error.

No. Do not stress over that. Its not a large grammar/spelling issue.

Best of luck on your decisions!

1 or 2 typos in your essay shouldn't be a big problem.
