what tier would RCM exams be?

Hello~

Although I'm applying for a STEM major, I hold piano very dearly to my heart and it's a hobby I try to stick with despite schoolwork. I've been taking the RCM Piano exams on and off now, and I'm starting to enter higher intermediate/basic advanced levels (e.g. Level 7-8).

These exams take months of preparation. But I'm curious, what tier would they fall under?

Hi @thatonefish!

Do you mean tier as in extracurricular? I think they'd probably be tier 2 or regional, but it would really depend on the percentage of students your age who make it that high. I don't think it would work as tier 1 until you hit levels 9–10.

Hope that helps! Let me know if you have any further questions.
