Can I back out if I was accepted Early Decision?
Answered

I was accepted ED to Stonehill College but after seeing the financial aid package, I definitely can’t afford the school. I need to back out, but is that possible? I'm really worried.

It definitely is possible to back out after seeing the financial aid package if you can't afford it. Actually, backing out because of financial reasons is one of the biggest reasons for breaking ED, and colleges are really understanding. If you can't afford it, you can't afford it -- no one will force you!

You should explain the situation to Stonehill. Also, if you're clear to them about how much money you'll need to actually attend, they might actually even increase your offer so that you can attend the school.
