GPA Handling/Boosting
Answered

I'm a freshman in High School with a cumulative GPA of 3.7 ( Using a 5-point scale ). I have a concern regarding my GPA which will be updated soon seeing how in my course for Honors Algebra 2 I ended with a grade of 74. I have straight A's in all my other classes from both semesters, but I am afraid that this 74 will impact my GPA now and in the long run. In my other honors classes, I'm doing well so I don't know whether or not this will help.

Hi! I am a senior in high school. You are going to want to bring that grade up, even one grade that low will affect your GPA. I used to have a 4.0 (on a 4.0 scale). I got a 70 on one mid-term my sophomore year and can not get my GPA back to a 4.0, it is stuck at a 3.9.

If you leave the grade where it is then it will have a negative effect on your GPA, but you can still get it back up, it will take some time though, so just be patient and work hard for it.
