I'm a freshman in High School with a cumulative GPA of 3.7 ( Using a 5-point scale ). I have a concern regarding my GPA which will be updated soon seeing how in my course for Honors Algebra 2 I ended with a grade of 74. I have straight A's in all my other classes from both semesters, but I am afraid that this 74 will impact my GPA now and in the long run. In my other honors classes, I'm doing well so I don't know whether or not this will help.
Hi! I am a senior in high school. You are going to want to bring that grade up, even one grade that low will affect your GPA. I used to have a 4.0 (on a 4.0 scale). I got a 70 on one mid-term my sophomore year and can not get my GPA back to a 4.0, it is stuck at a 3.9.
If you leave the grade where it is then it will have a negative effect on your GPA, but you can still get it back up, it will take some time though, so just be patient and work hard for it.

Thank you so much for your response, I double-checked with the administration for my current high school and we actually use the 4.0 scale. My current GPA is a 3.7 but I am still going to work to raise it as much as possible before graduation.
