What should i do to make my mark and stand out early for my college application as a freshman?

I am i going to be a freshman and i just wanted to see if anyone can help me with any way i can stand out early for my college application. We are doing an online course for the next 6 weeks, im not sure how i can get involved.

So the 3 big things to do as a freshman is get good grades and pick out rigorous (Honors AP IB) and major related classes. Thirdly join at least 3 ECs preferably 5 and try to be present at all meetings so you can get leadership latter down the line.

Also freshman year don’t be afraid to drop ECs.
