I apologize for having another chancing question.

Does Collegevine look at the national level & state level junior classical leagues (e.g. CAJCL, TSJCL, VJCL) as interest clubs for board members ?

So interest groups are a club/organization that is interested in a topic such as chess club anime club.

Non arts competition is any competitive event such as debate DECA.

Affinity groups are ethnically and or religiously based. A bible group and black student groups are all affinity groups.

I know nothing about leagues but these are the 3 most likely categories for you. Also only the tiers matter for CV algorithm not the category. If you take a sports tier F and make it software tier F it’s the same chancing percentage.

Also not every thing fits the tier the acoording to the definition. One of mine is community service tier I but it doesn’t fit in exactly as I was part of the leadership team but didn’t organize it myself. Just pick the one that makes the most sense.

Thank you. Yes it helped clarify it a little bit, especially in regards to the level vs category. I will just go with the interest group then.

It does require a fee for founding a chapter. Usually that is done by the latin/greek teacher who is already an ACL member. Any latin/greek student can be in the NJCL, however the NJCL has a certain baseline requirement for the induction into the NJCL Honor society. Similar to the NHS I guess. The board is filled with students who applied and got voted on. The NJCL committee are the adults (state chair, etc). The board members assist the committee in the promotion of latin/greek & events.

The summer camp pictures are the state/national conventions. During those you can compete seriously in academic decalonths or just have fun. It is up to the individual. Side note: I have seen teachers kick students out of the NJCL Honor Society due to lack of citizenship/service.

It’s kinda closer to an honor society than a interest club but as I have said in the answer CV doesn’t care. And the catergory on CommonApp really isn’t important as long as it is semi reasonable. And on CommonApp the time and description matter more than the catergory if the catergory matters at all.
