Should I include freshman year activities

So during my freshman year I was heavily involved in robotics and that was my only activity. However, I was not too interested in it and stopped doing it the next year and found activites I enjoy more. I was wondering if I i should still include robotics on the activities section of my application so colleges know that I was still doing something freshman year even if it doesn't align with my interests.

If by the time you apply to college you are not pursuing a STEM route, do not include this. It will look like an aberration. If however you have room and are pursuing a STEM route, rank it lower than your spike activities that speak to the narrative you are sharing with the application readers. Good Luck.

So you can definitely include it but you should order it most to least impressive and as it seems it isn’t major related Id put it as the least impressive. If it is major related slightly higher. Also if you can fill the application with quality ECs you should disregard robotics.

Hope this helps!
