Waiving ferpa on common app

So I created a common app account earlier this year in June and waived my ferpa rights so that I could start asking for recommendation letters. However, now that the new admission cycle has started and the common app has reset, the common app is saying that I have not completed the ferpa waiver. Is this a mistake or should I be waiving my ferpa right again? Should I have even done the ferpa section before the new application cycle?

The common app "resets" every august, the only thing that stays the same is the common app profile so the ferpa rights don't. It isn't a mistake so you can just waive it again. If you aren't applying for fall 2021 you should wait and complete it in august of the year you are applying. Hope this helps!
