Is it better to put 4.0 unweighted or 4.1 weighted GPA in application?

Entering info into applications now. Is a 4.0 unweighted or 4.1 weighted more advantageous to enter?

On Common App's education section tutorial video, they say to put the weighted value, so in this case 4.1 . However, it is up to you!

Some colleges have their own methods by which they recalculate your gpa so everyone is on the same scale (since different schools calculate gpa slightly differently), so I don't think it is a huge deal which value you report. Also, like @DebaterMAX said, if you are really torn, you can email the schools and ask! Good luck :)

Colleges prefer UW grades and assuming a 4.0 scale all As is more impressive than a 4.1 wieghted as it is all As. You can also email the school and ask do you prefer UW or W grades.
