You should try to take classes that interest you and are challenging. If your school offers the opportunity to drop classes, you should try to take some harder courses and drop them if you feel as if they are hindering your performance in other classes as well. Although UNC Chapel Hill and Clemson aren't the most difficult to get into, taking some APs will only benefit. Because I do not personally know you, your ECs/workload, and academic standards, I cannot give you a definite answer and it is up to you to make the final decision.
