Should I take AP English language or APUSH?
Answered

My son's high school offers AP English language and AP US History for Juniors only. Given that he has to take 3 other APs, he can only choose one from the two courses. Also, he has already taken AP World History, and his direction in the future will be STEM area. Which course will AO value more in this case?

I personally wouldn't care about the class it waives and would take AP Lang if he is currently enrolled in other AP classes. IO games

I recommend taking AP language, especially since he is a STEM major and history won't be of much use. However, depending on the college he wants to go to, APUSH might help him with the general education courses because the course it waives is listed in a few categories, unlike AP Language.

If he is already taking other AP classes, I personally wouldn't worry about the class it waives and would take AP Lang.

If he wants to take AP government and economics in his senior year, I would 100% take AP Lang.
