Need help writing for UC piq prompt 6

So prompt 6 is about an academic subject that inspires me and how I further that interest. Is it a good idea to write about a class I struggled in but worked hard and ended up learning many things about myself as a persistent learner? Or is that going against the prompt?

That would go better with the prompt 4 or 5. 6 should be about an interest you have relating to your major or something you'd like to pursue in college.

Prompt 6 should tie to your specific major. You should be talking about how you love a certain subject and how it turns you on, how it makes you excited and happy, how it brings you joy. Those sorts of things should be the focus of this essay. For instance, I wrote my essay about my love of electrical physics and how that translates to my future goals of being an electrical engineer. Another example of this could be if you were to major in chemistry, and were to write about VESPR and how that was something that made you excited and drove you to dig deeper into the field of chemistry.

For your specific situation, I'd suggest prompt 4 which asks about education opportunity/hardship. Spin it as an educational opportunity in which you learned life skills and persistence.

Hope this helps, and comment if you have any confusion!
