How is my application with a low GPA? (I have a reason for it being low however)* PLEASE READ
Answered

Hello everyone, I am currently a senior and I'm about to apply to my top three Virginia Tech, UPitt, and NC State, however my weighted gpa is 3.84/5.0. It isn't low because of honors and non honors classes, I have taken a wide variety of ap(7 + 4 senior year) and ib(1) and duel enrollment(1). I also have a personal statement about why its low(personal physical health issues), and my sat score is in the 1500s, and I have all 10 ecs for common app, and I want to major in CS(I have my certification in python), how are my chances looking?

Honestly? Pretty good for all of these. I wouldn't say they're reaches or safeties for you. With that said, consider applying to a safety school, and remember that your essay is supposed to be about the experiences and traits you have that make you ready for college. If your personal statement is a big explanation or trauma dump of your health issues, it may be good to utilize the additional information section to explain your hardship and use the personal statement for something else.
