will my bad freshman GPA affect college
Answered

I'm currently a sophomore and last year I got a 4.3/5 GPA. My school does a 5 point GPA system. I was not mentally there and this year and for the rest of my school years I plan on getting a 5.0 GPA. Would my freshman GPA bring that down and ruin my chances of getting into very selective colleges like Ivy's or Oxford. I plan on taking 6 weighted classes. I'm not sure if my school offers honors or AP's. As well as I wanna take five dual credit classes. As well as I should be able to join NHS next year once I accomplish my 5.0 GPA. I just wanna make sure that if my freshman GPA affects my college chances that I do other things that will out way that

Schools like Oxford or Ivy's may look over your freshman year but they most likely will not take it into consideration. If you keep up good grades as well as advanced classes then they should focus on that instead.
