How to boost my application during senior year?

Hi, I‘m an international student transferring to an American high school for my senior year. I didn’t do many extracurricular actitivites in my home country except for sports and DoE (Duke of Edinburgh award, where you need to do certain thing like sports, talents and community service and go on a self planned expedition at the end). I’m planning on taking as many AP classes as possible and joining the Honors Society. A potential idea for my passion project would be to create a mentorship program where students from the Society can volunteer to tutor students (maybe also label the program for low income students). What else could I do in this timeframe to boost my application?

You can boost your apication by doing internships, volunteering or taking online courses related to your desired major. It will show how serious you are about the field you want to go into and it will also help you write a better 'Why this college' essay by demonstrating how you will contribute and benefit from their college.
