Hello! I'm currently a high school senior and I'm taking AP Calculus BC. However, the class has been difficult and based on how things are going, I think I'll be finishing my semester with a B. I've been going in for extra help, but have still be struggling. I've only As for the past 3 years, and this would be my first B. Will this be bad for college admissions when they look at my midyear report? I've read stories where students are rejected because their academic performance went down during senior year, and I'm concerned.
Hello there. I see that you are taking AP Calculus BC, a very rigorous course, and that's what many colleges like to see. They would much rather you end up with a B in an AP than an A in a super easy class, as that shows that you are prepared for more challenging coursework. Many people end up getting into good colleges with straight A's and B's. As for grades, colleges usually have their own way of calculating your GPA and other things while factoring in the rigor of AP Calculus BC, so don't worry too much. Good luck with everything :)
