Apply ED or Reg

I was wondering if applying for ED for schools you want are worth it. I know its a higher acceptance rate but I also heard that application pools are most competitive in ED rounds. So whats the best choice to make?

Applying ED definitely makes you stand out a bit more as it shows you are committed to that college. A lot of times there will be less spots open for the regular decision because of the acceptances from ED. But you have to consider everything about the school you apply early too. You have to be absolutely certain that the school you're applying to ED is your #1 choice and that you've researched its financial aid policies and anything you would need to because you won't be able to change once you've been accepted.

Overall I would suggest Early Decision as you have a better shot at acceptance, around 1.6x more with selective schools (Stat from collegevine post)
