AP Courses

Hey

I'm a current junior. I plan on majoring in History and applying to the T10 and Ivy League.

My school offers AP Pre calc and regular pre calc. The Math dept won't allow me to take AP Pre calc b/c i got a 85 in Trig. I, however, take APUSH, AP Macro, AP Research, AP Lang, and AP Psychology.

Wondering if not taking AP pre calc would put me at a slight disadvantage for competitive admissions?

Any thoughts? thanks!

I don't think this will mess up your chances; AP Pre-Calculus is not exactly relevant towards your ability to remember or learn history. What are your extracurriculars and gpa. Those things typically have a greater impact on acceptance than not taking a single class. Especially is not necessarily related to your intended major. I hope this is helpful; I am a freshman and will be applying to T10 universities as well so good luck!
