I really want to apply EA to some unis, but I heard they prioritize legacies etc more, so is it really worth it?

Some of the EA schools i wanted to apply to include GATech, UMich..

My ECAs are average (or slightly above avg) compared to my peers and my CGPA (unweighted) is 3.9. SAT is low (1380), but I'm retaking again.
