Do I send AP scores to the colleges I'm applying to?

Hello!

I'm working on my common app and I decided to submit my AP scores but my question is, do I have to send them through CollegeBoard? or is that just when you get accepted?

I searched it up on Google and they just kept telling me that submitting AP Scores isn't required but I want to submit them, I'm just wondering if I have to send them through CollegeBoard (& it's expensive).

You don't have to submit AP test scores but it is highly recommended. AP test scores of 4-5 are highly recommended to submit- scores of 3 you should be weary about. 2 or less don't bother submitting. Hope this helps!

You don't need to send your official AP scores through CollegeBoard when you're applying to colleges. On your Common App, you can self-report your AP scores, which is usually enough for the application process. Colleges typically only require you to send official scores directly from CollegeBoard after you’ve been accepted and decide to enroll. So, for now, self-reporting is a more cost-effective option.
