College Reccomendations

What are some good colleges (preferably T20/T30) that value stats over ecs? I have very high stats(top 10 rank, high sat/act) but mid ecs. My ecs aren’t Ivy League level, but they’re definitely better than average.

It's great that you have such strong academic stats! When looking for colleges that might value academic performance more heavily, it's important to consider schools that have a reputation for emphasizing GPA and standardized test scores significantly in their admissions process.

Here are a few schools that traditionally place a strong emphasis on academic metrics:

University of Chicago - Known for its rigorous academic environment, UChicago values intellectual curiosity and high academic achievement.

Carnegie Mellon University - Particularly for its STEM and fine arts programs, Carnegie Mellon is known for its appreciation of high academic standards.

Rice University - This school is known for valuing strong academic performance, and its smaller size means they might appreciate high stats more.

Johns Hopkins University - Strong in the sciences, Johns Hopkins often looks for students with excellent academic backgrounds, especially for their research programs.

Duke University - While Duke does value extracurriculars, they also highly regard academic excellence.

Keep in mind that while these schools may value academic stats, holistic review processes are still prevalent, meaning that they will consider your extracurriculars, essays, and recommendations.
