ACT Scores

I'm currently a senior in High school. The first time I took the ACT last year at my school was in May(I'm not used to how the ACT is structured). I received a 14. I recently got my September ACT score and received a 13 as my composite. I studied for the ACT a month or two before. I started reading to boost my English and Reading scores. I received a 14 for my math score, but for Science, I went up one point (14 to 15). I don't know if I'm missing anything, but I'm highly disappointed in myself because I do well in school.

most of the act prep is not in learning new content through reading, but through making sure you time yourself properly. not sure if you have time to or are planning on retaking, but if so, give yourself settings exactly like an act would be formatted so you are more prepared. if not, schedule an sat asap so you can try to do better on that.

if neither of those appeal, then go test-optional and make sure the rest of your application is incredible and do anything now to get better extracurriculars, other scores, essays, and LORs. if there is another explanation (health issue, death, etc) put that into additional info section of application.

last ditch effort would be to look at colleges with act score that have 14 in the range, and a small local cc is also an option.

good luck!!
