Choose My Major

I am not the person that will let strangers on the internet decide my life however, I wanted to get non biased opinions on what my major should be thanks in advance. I am a freshman trying to narrow down my major options and these are my top 3. I also want to attend a T20 University so if anyone has any advice on improving my chances it is greatly appreciated. I have a 4.0 gpa and a few 2 & 3 tier extracurriculars I also have one tier 1 extracurricular activity. I will also have at least 12 AP classes and exams; I will take the PSAT next year.

If you're a freshman, you don'y need to worry about your major yet! :) Also, most T20 universities don't offer undergrad "business" or a fashion design degree, and criminal law isn't really an undergrad major any school offers. Rather, criminal law would be something you concentrate on in law school. If criminal law is something you're interested in, your undergrad major should be something preparing you to take the LSAT and go to law school like political science, english, or philosophy (all offered at T20 universities). :)

Here are some EC ideas for those three paths though:

Pre-Law:

--Mock Trial, Model UN, political canvassing/volunteering, volunteering for a lawyer, etc.

Business:

--DECA, FBLA (both similar but I prefer DECA as a current senior whose been in DECA for years haha), business/marketing internships, DECA gives a lot of opportunities to work 1 on 1 with businesses to create strategic plans and stuff of that nature.

Fashion:

--Start a fashion club? I can't think of as many here BUT DECA has a lot of fashion merchandising competitive events. (I competed in one last year lol)

These are just from the top of my head, TikTok is good for EC ideas you could do outside of school and for ones in school attend your school's club fair! :)

Remember though, you're only a freshman so you don't need to be figuring out some of this serious college application stuff this year (like major)!! :)
