I recently went through the challenges of a job search, and it taught me a lot about resiliessence and being optimistic. I want to write about it but I don't know if it's too recent to be reflected on as I'm applying to a few competitive schools I want to get into.
That depends on the specifics of the situation and also depends heavily on HOW you approach it. Find a way to portray who you are through the essay. Your essay should reveal only great things about your character. You don't want to accidentally portray something else. For example, the last thing you want admissions officers to think is that there's something negative up with you that affected your ability to get a job. (I don't mean this critically, I just want to point out how important the readers POV is- they may see something different than you meant if you're not careful) This essay is where the admission officers meet you. What do you want them to know about your character?
