Will being a year behind impact college acceptances?

For preschool, kindergarten, and first grade, I was homeschooled. When my parents decided I should attend public school, I was entered into the first grade, even though I was a year older than the other students and eligible to enter second grade. I didn't fail any grade level test and wasn't held back when I entered the school system a year behind; my parents simply thought that I would be better able to socially adapt if I began school with a new class of students (everyone at the school started in first grade). Now, I am a sophomore and being in 10th grade instead of 11th worries me. Will I have to explain my situation to colleges and will it impact my acceptances? Is there anything I should be concerned about? Thank you!

No, it won't affect your college acceptances chances. I believe mentioning it in additional information section is a great way to inform them and it should just be general. Like briefly describe this and move on. They will understand.
