Volunteering during COVID

I’m currently a senior in highschool and I’m looking for volunteering hours to fill up my college applications. I used to volunteer at a nursing home but now it’s closed due to COVID. I live near Houston and I was wondering if anyone knew of any opportunities. It can be either online or in person. I don’t have anything specifically in mind but if it is something related to the medical field it would help a lot!

Hi! I think if you're interested in the medical field, a great way to volunteer is to make masks if you have the materials. I've also been doing many hours of tutoring over Zoom, so that is an option as well. This isn't much, but I hope it helps!

I don't live in the US but you should really try helping out your community in times like this. I live in India where covid-19 cases are pretty high and I still managed to get some volunteering done in my community (raised money and helped out people with necessities with low income backgrounds). This might not be a big one but really shows colleges the connection who have with community and what you would do for them.
