Hey!
So I have given 8 IGCSE exams. Some of my colleges require me to fill out the Courses and Grade section on common app.
The problem is that the IGCSE results were on the following scale: A, A, B, C, D
The Closest option given by Common app is on the A-F scale but that scale goes like this: A+, A, A-, B+, B, B-, C+, C, C-
How do I input my IGCSE grades? Is there a conversion scale or something?
Admissions officers will see your real transcript and understand IGSCE results. I also recommend putting these down as "other" when self-reporting.

Hi! British expatriate here. I had the same issue orignally on the Common App, as I had 11 GCSEs to input into my grades. As I transferred into an American school (New York State) I discovered that each GCSE is worth 2 credits (1 credit for each year it takes to complete). I would imagine that IGCSEs are quite similar, so each would be worth two credits. For grading, you can select the grading scale as "Other" and input those grades. I gather admissions counselors will work it out.
