Can I write a college-specific essay about a similar topic as my Common App essay?

One of my schools requires an essay about a piece of literature that inspired you. For me, a particular poem came to mind. However, my common app essay is about how I discovered poetry (and the poem I thought of is by the same poet I mention in the common app essay!) Is that okay, or should I change topics?

They can be similar to each other but try and stay away from having the same takeaway at the end!

Try the different topics. So that you can show your personality more better. And they will understand your perspective and how the person you are...
