How should I mark my participation in sports on the common app for this year.

I'm filling out the activities section on the common app and I'm wondering how I should mark my participation in sports which at the moment appear unlikely to have a season. Should I mark that I participated in them for this year or should I omit this year and write why?

If you plan on participating in the season (assuming it happens) and are training for the season, then I would definitely park that you participated in the activity for this year. Don't let all the work you put into that activity this year go unnoticed on your application!

If you didn't participate or do anything related to the activity, I would leave it out and explain why in the COVID-19 additional info section. If you have been practicing, you can still put it down, even if the season doesn't happen. Colleges will understand that many activities can't happen this year. Hope this helps, and best of luck!
