Admissions Advice

I am wondering whether or not to take Spanish 3 this year while applying to colleges, should I?
Answered

It is my senior year and I really do not want to take Spanish online, but a lot of colleges reccommend it. How much of a disadvantage would I be at if I did not take the course? I am applying to Ivies, UCs, and some regular colleges as well.

If you have taken two years of a language you should be fine. Maybe see if your school has a college Spanish class typically it isn't too hard and is manageable. I stopped spanish my senior year because i have taken it up to spanish four. It shouldn't effect you that much honestly.

Almost all schools require 2 years of foreign language with mst recommending 3-4 so is it entirely possible to go to a school that only requires 2 yes but the more selective schools defititly recommend at least 3 years.

Hope this helps!

Some colleges pretty sure require that you take 3 years of language(pretty sure the UCs want it). So I don't even think you are able to be admitted if you don't take it. I would recommend taking Spanish III though.
