My Dad decided to stay home full time 5 years ago. Do I list him as retired or stay-at-home-dad?
Answered

My parents were both working full time and my dad decided to stay home while we were in high school. How do I list this on the common application?

I think u can mention it as at home rather than retired. Because I feel that retirement is that age that states u aren’t capable of continuing ur job and are suggested to rest. I am assuming that ur dad made a choice to be at home during ur high school time and does have the option to get back to an at office job if he likes so I suggest at home is the route to go for u : ) hope that helps
