When I submit the essays on common app, do I indent my paragraphs or do I just separate each paragraph by a line or two?

I am applying early decision today.

I used indents for mine, but I think it's personal preference.

I didn't indent my paragraphs, just blocks (left justified) separated by a line.

MLA formatting is a must. And yes, indentation is apart of that.
