Should students filling out the Common App write a response to the "COVID-19" section under Additional Information?
Answered

Hi, I am a senior. Would it help a student applying to college if they did this? I am not sure how effective it would be in explaining it. There have been things that have impacted my life but I am not sure if it would make it seem like I am complaining about things that actually occurred.

Hi, I spoke to the admissions staff for certain colleges and every single one of them told me that if you were planning on doing something but couldn't because of COVID-19 they would love to hear about it. I feel maybe talking about experiences you may have missed during the virus or how it changed the way you think may be a good idea if you want to fill out that section.
