SAT/ACT
Answered

Hi! I was wondering if it’s necessary to take both the SAT and ACT for college applications?

Hi,

You should only submit the better of either ACT or SAT scores to colleges.

But keep in mind that if your score is not within 3 pts of the 50% middle for the ACT or 60 pts of the lower end of the SAT, then don't send them in your scores. So in your previous post, you wrote you had a 1510 SAT, so that is a perfectly excellent score to submit to all schools.

All colleges do not require the ACT or SAT this admissions cycle so if you don't have a good score, let the rest of your application advocate for you.

I wish you all the best.
