What extracurriculars and high-level awards are related to the social sciences and humanities?

I live in the STEM-focused California Bay Area, close to UC Berkeley and Stanford.

So besides the common competition awards like quiz bowl et cetera (that are still good mind you just not a standout thing) there are research opportunities (research isn’t confined to stem), solo projects also if you want to go into a medical field like psychology (think that’s the correct term and spelling) you can seek internships at some clinics nearby.

Feel to comment if you’d like an example but also please note that I’m not super knowledgeable about humanities as a whole as I’m more interested in STEM but thought I’d be able to help somewhat.

Hope this helps and feel free to comment if you’s like clarification as I’d be more than happy to help!
