Essay rated in the top 16%?
Answered

Hi everyone! Recently on my dashboard, I saw that an essay I sent for review was rated in the top 16% for the reviewer. What exactly does this mean? I don't see a feature to rate essays when I'm reviewing (maybe I have missed it), so this has left me a little confused. Is this a feature I have to unlock? Thanks for the answers and I hope everyone is having a good Christmas!

Not entirely sure (email support@collegevine for a concrete answer) but I suspect that you get the result based on what score you get in the catergories of flow of topic. Then based on that is what the percentile is based on.

I will say pay absolutely no attention to it as it means and does nothing. The essay review is for improving the essay via feedback not ranking it as best to worst.

Hope this helps and feel free to comment if you’s like clarification as I’d be more than happy to help!
