Does network really matter?

Hey guys,

I am recently admitted to Penn State and I heard that it 's one of the colleges which have the strongest alumni network in the states. Is it really that important?

I have done some research about the Penn state Alumni association and they can provide you with some perks. I have included the site below so you can check it out. I hope the site can answer some of your questions, If not, Just ask. Best of luck at Penn State!

So I’m not super knowledgeable about Alumni networks as I’m still a HS student but to give a synopsis on networks is that they will help “mentor” or a better way to say it they can point you in the right direction.

The benefit of the network comes from the connections that it brings but having a very large one versus a fair sized one can essentially be said PennSt has a denser network of people. Also if you are an OOS student it may be more likely they have local connections. The answer to to your question can boil down to how much use will you get out of it. Personally (not backed up by fact) I feel like it’s a bragging point and not really anything else.
