Will Class of 2022 also be test-optional due to COVID-19?
Answered

I am currently a junior in high school and have never even taken the SAT. I will be applying to colleges at the end of this year when I am a senior and worry that I won't have the opportunity to take the SAT. Do you think many schools (including ivy's) will make the Class of 2022 test-optional just like the Class of 2021? Thank you.

So I attended a fair few webinars hosted by different colleges the majority of them said they expect to be test-optional but some said they will be and there was a small but signifacant portion that said they will require test scores.

For example, Rice has said they will require it next year among others.

Unrelated to your question make sure any scholarships you want to apply for don't require a test score as a lot of the merit ones across the country will require one.

Hope this helps.

Most (if not all) schools will be test optional
